Almost everyone will want to race out into the sun for some fun, so when it comes to having a break inside, you want it to be nice and relaxing. But, just because your inside doesn’t mean it’s cool. So here are some tips for keeping cool inside your home.
Wear light weight, light coloured and loose fitting clothing. This one is pretty obvious, dress with light weight and light coloured clothing to make sure your body doesn’t over heat. Although it’s scary for some, it’s time to get your shorts out.
Make sure you drink lots of fluids. By drinking lots of water and juices, your body will keep cool, refreshed and topped up with all the sugar and minerals that it requires. A lot of your body’s minerals are lost via sweat so you need to replace these by drinking lots of fluids.
Use a dehumidifier. If you currently don’t have one, they are not too expensive, but they really do pay off.Dehumidifiers are used to remove water within the air to make the air around you less humid.Silica gel, which despite the name, is a solid. A large array of appliances use this gel because it can absorb the water from the air.
Keep yourself relaxed. Staying calm and relaxed for the a couple of days is important because it means your body can get used to the heat. If you choose to run out into the sun, you will feel the effects and get much hotter and more tired quicker.
These are just a few tips for helping to to keep cool during the hot summer days, although you don’t get many here in the UK.
