There are a lot of errors a person can make while muscle building, which for all your efforts will stop you in your tracks. Muscle building is a learning process. It is easy to make mistakes. Even professional trainers have made these same mistakes when starting out. Let us begin with the most common mistakes, so you can easily avoid them.
You may have heard that weight training is just as good for keeping your heart and lungs in great shape, as is a good cardio workout. Wrong! Weight training is designed for building muscle, not stimulating your cardiovascular system. You may as well spend the day lying on the beach with a good book if you expect your cardio to have any benefit from weight training. You may feel like you are getting a cardio work out as you push through your training, but you are not getting the best workout for your cardiovascular system. Cardeo must be a part of your routine in order to recover from your weight training exercises. Aerobics plays an important roll in building muscle. It sends oxygen and blood flow to your muscles speeding up your recovery from your muscle-building workout.
Focusing on working your biceps more often and longer than the rest of your body will bring bigger biceps, Wrong! I know you want bigger biceps but in order to achieve that you need to work all the muscles in your body, not just your biceps. Your biceps are just a small part of your work out. Focus the bulk of your weight training on the large muscle groups. Your chest, shoulders, back, legs. Increasing the strength of these large muscle groups will make it easier to build muscles in your arms.
Strength training is not important, wrong! So many people get into muscle building and get focused solely on building bigger muscles and ignore strength training. This is often the case with young men who want to build that muscle fast and that is their entire focus. They do not see the big picture. As with anything you need to build a solid foundation in order to see long-term results. After all that is what we are trying to achieve here is long-term results. The stronger you become the more you will be able to do, and your muscle mass will grow and so will your biceps. Check out Vince’s program on my website. It is the best muscle building program I’ve seen.
