Healthy Diet As a Lifestyle

Some people look at a diet as a period of time where sacrifice and struggle takes place, instead of just a healthy eating lifestyle. Just by eating the right foods or combination of foods, you can lose weight and improve your health. Did you know that artificial sweeteners can cause you to gain weight or prevent you from from losing weight? Yes, it’s true. The diet soda, diet snacks, processed foods and artificial sweeteners in your coffee are keeping people fat. The problem is with the liver. One of the liver’s main function is to chemically break down everything that enters the body, from healthy vegetables to not so healthy fast food. But when the liver is clogged and overwhelmed with toxins, like artificial sweeteners, it can’t process the nutrients and fats that our bodies need, thus causing weight gain or preventing lose of weight.

Natural foods are always the best bet. One common misconception is that margarine is better for you than butter. It’s quite the contrary. The truth is that butter and natural-saturated fats are not the reason that heart disease is one of the top killers in this country. It’s the processed and packaged foods and over consumption of refined oils that are causing so much disease; and you can add Diabetes, High Cholesterol and High Blood Pressure to the list.

These are only two examples of how you can take a natural diet approach and incorporate it into your everyday lifestyle. It’s actually a food science where certain foods can cause accelerated fat burning and some foods can prevent fat burning. Also, a combination of certain foods will create fat burning. It’s exciting to think that with the right information and guidance you can not only lose weight, but maintain a healthy body and most likely prolong your life.
