Is Dieting Really Beneficial?

When it comes to weight loss, we come across a lot of different diet plans every day which promise surprising results. But if you are one of those people that have opted for any of those diets and lost weight, you must have observed that within some days or months of losing weight, you gained weight again. Furthermore, going on a diet by following those “magical” diet plans now and then, may actually cause a lot of deficiencies in your body. So is dieting that bad?

Most of the quick-fix diets are unhealthy and unbalanced. If you observe, almost every weight loss scheme involves blocking out a whole food class from your diet. For instance, a no carbohydrate plan demands that we refrain from having all the foods that have carbohydrates in then and we all know how important carbohydrates are for our body. Although plans like this help us in losing weight, they can also cause deficiencies in our body.

Most of the Diets are effective just because they reduce the calorie consumption of a person. When a person reduce his food intake and losses weight, there is fall in their energy levels and when they don’t get enough fats, out body use the fat cells which are already in out body which results in additional loss of energy. As the result a dieter may find himself feeling tired very often.

So why do we regain the weight we started to loose when dieting? The reason behind this is plans restrict a person on what, how much when and when to eat and so on. Due to these restrictions people usually give up the idea after a while, and start having their normal food intake. As the result, they gain weight again.

Failed dieting leads to mental stress because it’s not just your body that gets affected by diet plans, your mind gets affected too. As the rate of failure of the plans is high, there is a high possibility of causing anxiety and stress in that person. He may start feeling and even believing that he is failure and may even get depressed.

Clearly, dieting can be quite unhealthy, not for just out body but for our minds as well. If you really want to lose weight, the best way of accomplishing it is by exercising regularly, following a balanced diet, drinking lots of water and having smaller meals, and healthy snacks.

I recently purchased some John Deere Lawnmowers which I have set up a site about – check it out.

I also have a business interest in Restaurant Table Linens – check out the link to find out more.
