Stevia As a Sugar Replacement for the Candida Diet

Are you looking for Stevia? Do you know where to find and buy Stevia? If yes, then this article will talk about Stevia as sugar replacement for candida diet. Stevia can be easily found in health food stores in the US. Usually near the baking stuff and the sugar substitutes. Stevia comes in both liquid and powdered form.

There is also another, natural carbs-free sweetener: 100 % Pure Vegetable Glycerin, in health food stores as well.

Stevia is a God-send for people kicking candida and people with blood sugar problems. However, look at the label and avoid any product with maltodextrin in it. Get either pure stevia (liquid in an alcohol base), or powered stevia with FOS as the only other ingredient. (FOS actually feeds the good bacteria in your colon, which is desirable.)

Many “stevia” products have maltodextrin in them, and while this is OK for regular dieters who want to avoid sugar, it is bad for candida.

Another question you may have is “what form do you use, liquid or powder, and how do you use it? Do you cook it?”

That question often comes into my inbox. One of the persons has tried the powder just a little, it has nasty after, or if she uses just a pinch, no effect at all.

I personally use powder with FOS. I’ve never cooked with it but they say stevia is stable with heat, so you should be able to cook with it. The only objectionable thing I’ve heard about stevia is that some people don’t like the particular taste of it.
