The Lego Group and Themes

LEGO has been creating toy building blocks since before 1950 and have enjoyed huge growth since their early days. The LEGO Group initially served the European market with their building block sets but quickly expanded to become a global supplier. The LEGO Group enjoys the most loyal fan base among toy building blocks suppliers and is always expanding. The LEGO Group has built an extremely durable product with its LEGO bricks. These building block sets can withstand years of enjoyment and are very hardy.

LEGO has done a fantastic job throughout the years of keeping LEGO brick fans interested by releasing new LEGO sets based on different themes. Most often LEGO has created and designed these themes on their own but in recent years LEGO has taken on already previously licensed brands as themes. One example of a brand that LEGO built a theme on is the Batman LEGO theme. Batman has proven to be one of the LEGO Groups most popular themes in recent years and is in relatively high demand. Some other examples of branded products LEGO has licensed include Star Wars LEGO sets and Indiana Jones.

My favorite LEGO theme is the Star Wars LEGO theme. This theme incorporates scenes from the various Star Wars movies that have been released by LucasFilms to create LEGO building sets. The LEGO Group takes scenes from each of the individual movies and builds a LEGO system out of that scene, thus appealing to not only the LEGO enthusiasts out there but also Star Wars fans. This has helped LEGO grow in popularity over the years and expand on its already potent fan base. The result is increased sales in a down economy and a transition to other products such as t-shirts, video games and other products. This would not have been possible had the LEGO Group not decided to create already licensed brands.

One of the big reasons fans love LEGO systems so much are the LEGO mini figures that come in most LEGO systems that are distributed by the LEGO Group. Minifigures are almost an industry in and of themselves with some being extremely collectible, depending on their availability. Mini Figures are so fun to LEGO fans because they come with many kinds of accessories and tools. Some of the more popular LEGO minifigures are from the Batman LEGO theme. The Batman LEGO mini figures are very fun and based on the Batman comics.

LEGO is dealing well with the growth they are experiencing. The reason they can continue to expect big time growth is because they are committed to creating the absolute best building block toys anywhere.
